***Due to the low amount of  donations received for this year, we will not be accepting applications at this time.  ***

To start the grant process you must have a completed, approved certified home study from a licensed adoption agency that is current in your state.  You must have been matched and accepted a child for adoption within the U.S. foster care system or an international adoption program.  This includes sibling groups and older children, but all must be considered “waiting child or special needs” adoptions.  No application will be considered until you have a match with a qualifying child.

All applications will be reviewed by the Allocation Committee.  Applicants will be notified via email when their application has been reviewed.  You may be asked to provide any needed updates or supplemental information at that time.

Please note: Interested persons should not apply if their adoption has been finalized or if they are just starting the adoption process.  Anna’s Forever Families does not fund full adoptions and provides funds based on availability.

All information provided in your application is held confidential.  Anna’s Forever Families respects the privacy of individuals applying for a grant. We want you to feel comfortable that the information you provide is used for no other purpose than the consideration of the grant application.

The Process

Once you have a pending adoption, please contact us and we will provide an application by mail or email.  Complete the application and provide all other necessary documentation.  Applications are reviewed by our committee every three months. Applicants will be notified via email when their application has been reviewed.

Grants ranging from $500 to $7,500 can be awarded (based on availability of funds). The average award is $2,500. Funds can be applied to the following:

• Coverage or Reimbursement of Agency Fees

• Medical Expenses

• Travel Expenses

• Attorney Fees

Anna’s Forever Families is a small, private, Christian non-profit organization.  All funds that make up the available grants have been received by donations.  The amount of donations received determine the amount of money that will be available for grants each fiscal quarter.  Due to this there may be quarters where no funds are available.  The grants are competitive and are based on displayed financial need.  If you are awarded a grant, you will receive your grant within 30 days of being notified of your award.  The grant process is non-discriminatory.  Not all applicants will receive grants.

Please feel free to contact us at anytime during the grant process.
